Clinical Nurse Tutor - Boldings Brook Academy

The main purpose of this role will be to deliver clinical skills training to nursing and care staff as well as support and develop education within our services. You will work closely with our academic team and key managers across the organisation to ensure the training and professional development strategies are delivered through effective education and practical clinical skills training.

Candidates must be occupationally competent, be a Registered Nurse, mentor with a current PIN number and be able to deliver clinical skills and knowledge training.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mentoring Sussex Healthcare student nurses through the Open University programme.
  • Mentoring care staff through the new apprenticeship scheme.
  • Working with trained nurses to increase competence in clinical practice enabling outstanding care.
  • Working with Registered Managers to facilitate CQC compliance in all clinical areas within the care home environment.
  • Liaising with both the Operations Team and Education Department on clinical excellence.
  • Delivering training to nursing and care staff as required to meet our service users needs.
  • Involvement in research to ensure evidence based practice is undertaken in all areas of care.

Physiotherapist - The Granary

We require a Physiotherapist to join a multidisciplinary team to work with adults with physical and learning difficulties. You will need to be motivated and flexible to work within the care home environment with a genuine interest in working with people with complex disabilities. An interest in hydrotherapy would be an advantage. Applications are welcome from newly qualified physiotherapists. Salary is dependent upon qualifications and experience.

Clinical Nurse Lead - Longfield Manor

The holder of this post is responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development of care pathways, action plans and evaluation of all these aspects of care. The post holder needs to supervise a team of trained nurses; under direct supervision ensuring qualified and unqualified staff are competent in all relevant clinical procedures. The post holder also needs good communication skills to liaise with the multidisciplinary team ensuring continuity of excellent care.

Registered Nurses

Registered Nurses would be expected to lead the staff team in providing good person centred care with the service user at the forefront of service provision. Duties to include assessing nursing needs and planning/evaluating care provision. You will be able to maintain accurate clinical observations of the service users' condition and keep all required records of nursing care. You will communicate with service users, their relatives and coworkers; administer drugs and treatments as prescribed with safety/accuracy and be able to assist in appraisal process of junior staff members. Key responsibilities will be to act as key worker to individually identified service users, monitor their condition and maintain accurate records; be part of the process of defining and identifying the service user's needs and devising their individual programme plan of care and supervising and supporting at least three NVQ/QCF level 2 care assistants in the team.

Carer/Driver - Beech Lodge, White Lodge (Bank), Wisteria Lodge

This is a full time varied role and duties include: sharing with the other staff in meeting the personal care needs of service users in a way that respects the dignity of the individual and promotes independence, help in the care of the service users physical environment and in the general day to day activities of the home, transport service users to and from the day centre/college Monday to Friday, transport service users of the home on outings and where necessary to medical appointments. Applicant must be 25 years old or over and hold a clean driving licence with a minimum of 2 years experience driving in the UK is essential

Driver/Handyperson - Clemsfold House, Kingsmead Care Centre

We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative person to join the friendly team in our home. Duties will include transporting service users of the home on outings and where necessary to medical appointments and to provide handyperson cover within the home under the direction of the Registered Manager. This is a full time position on a flexible rota according to the needs of the home. A clean D1 driving licence with a minimum of two years experience of driving in the UK is essential.

Experienced Activities Coordinator - Kingsmead Lodge, Woodhurst Lodge (part time)

This is a flexible position involving the coordination of a full programme of activities which will provide a variety of recreational leisure and educational opportunities for service users in order to enhance their quality of life by meeting their interests and needs. Activities will be organised to promote life skills and social, physical and intellectual well being for service users.

Activities Assistant - Kingsmead Lodge

This is a flexible position assisting the activities coordinator in providing a variety of recreational leisure and educational opportunities for service users.

Weekend Kitchen Assistant - Longfield Manor

This is a position working under the direction of the Chef on duty, in order that food and beverages may be prepared, cooked and served in a hygienic and safe environment. Knowledge of working within a health care setting would be an advantage.

Bank Staff
