Sussex Health Care provides excellent care in our purpose built facilities for those requiring support with neurological and acquired brain injury.
We are committed to providing excellent standards of care and support to each individual in line with their needs. Our care homes support a variety of conditions e.g. Huntington's Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neurone Disease, Parkinson Disease and Acquired Brain Injury including Spinal Cord Lesions. All of the care homes are led by a team of fully trained and dedicated staff.
We have in-house physiotherapists, physiotherapy assistance and speech and language therapists. We also provide alternative therapies such as reflexology and aromatherapy. Our homes have spa / hydrotherapy pools and enthusiastic activity staff. 24-hour nursing care is also available.
With the support of Sussex Health Care's training academy our staff have the opportunity to access specialist training around supporting service users with very complex needs.
Our team work closely with consultants and specialist teams such as the National Hospital for Neurology in Queens Square, The Royal Hospital for Neurological Disorders and Guys and St Thomas hospitals. These close links enable staff teams to provide a unique level of understanding to service users with neurological conditions or acquired brain injury.
Physiotherapy and hydrotherapy are an important part of the social and care programme. We also understand the need for people to have good social interaction and we work closely with local clubs and colleges to ensure that access to the local community is an integral part of our care plan.
